Unofficial playercount estimates and other data

This service provides estimates and approximated data based on the official replay data. Although the process should be sound enough expect the results to be understated for various reasons, most of them technical. Due to the way data is collected longer matches are underrepresented, for example. Custom matches are not taken into account at all. Some replays may not be collected if they take too long to show up on the replay portal, etc, etc.

Comparisons with Steam CCU are inevitable, but note that the only requirement for Steam to count someone as playing the game is to have the game process running. That means even players sitting in the main menu are counted on Steam. This service only counts players participating in battles.

With all this in mind please take all provided data with a grain of salt and expect data to be skewed towards lower-than-actual numbers. Give more attention to trends rather than absolute values.

Data is collected every 15 minutes, but longer period charts are updated less frequently. Dashed lines indicate incomplete data. This server operates in UTC, but the displayed time is adjusted to your local timezone - expect some funkiness here.
